What a week. As my vinyl odyssey continues, I think I’m going to head up north tomorrow to check out a space in Mount Vernon I’ve heard good things about. Maybe they’ll take my like new starter turntable on trade. We’ll see.
Quietly stopped by Easy Street while in West Seattle yesterday, and found a good condition copy of Pink Floyd’s Ummagumma for $20 (score) and a not as great copy of the Beatles White Album for $10 (nasty scratch on side one, but it was an original, and outside of that and a lousy cover, shape was otherwise ok).
Sometimes you just gotta’ take what’s out there. Right now, my number one search is for a decent shape vinyl copy of the somewhat obscure erotica-trip hop artist Vanessa Daou’s debut album Zipless. Would also like to find good condition copies of Pink Floyd’s Animals and Meddle, and Bowie’s Station To Station.
On a side note, excited about the new position I accepted at my current gig that starts next week. Better pay, less stress = win, win.

We’ll see how this goes.
